Thumbs up Aircraft Carriers Intensive PIX!!

This thread will be about PIX of aircraft carriers. Post PIX of the ships be it a CVN,CVH, LPH, LHA/LHD of any navy! CVs of any era! Post your personal PIX of CVs..I have a few..Post PIX of the Flight Deck symphony! Hangar Deck too! I will post PIX here at least three days a week if there is intrest.

I served on five USN CVs.. Kennedy, Midway, Han**ck, America & Nimitz.

Espcially during the Korean War. Truly the 'Forgotten War'. I am young, but that war will always be on my mind. Lest we forget...

This photograph was originally released by the Lockheed Newsbureau on 9 October 1957, with the caption: "SeaStar Flexes Sea-Legs -- U.S. Navy's Lockheed T2V-1 SeaStar skims in for its first 'sea duty' landing aboard the U.S.S. Antietam. The new ship-or-shore duty trainer recently completed primary carrier suitability tests during operations held off the East Coast. Designed to combine top performance and safety in a two-place school-plane, the SeaStar is in quantity production at Lockheed's California Division.

At Mayport, Florida, in August 1965, just prior to departing for Vietnam with elements of the Army's First Cavalry Division on board. She carried 1200 personnel, 205 helicopters and 6 OV-1 airplanes to the combat zone.
Aircraft on her flight deck include 6 OV-1 (dark colored-forward); 4 CH-54 (white-just forward of island); 56 CH-47 (dark colored-amidships and aft) and 36 UH-1 (white-amidships and forward). The remaining 109 helicopters are presumably stowed on Boxer's hangar deck.
